Polly Schaffner, an ardent proponent of the arts, has performed frequently as a soloist, and recently in a series of classical and jazz concerts with local jazz pianist Bill Augustine. Her teacher lineage includes many of the great composers such as Liszt, Chopin, Czerny, Beethoven and Haydn. Following degrees from the University of Wisconsin and the University of Michigan, she pursued doctoral study at the Eastman School in New York, and then with the late Lubka Kolessa in Toronto. Polly focuses on healthy, injury-preventing technique, and enjoys working with students of all ages.
