Kim Hain, a violinist, began her musical studies at age 5 and continued to study the violin seriously through high school and college. After a first BM and MM degrees in violin performance, she received a second MM in chamber music from Kent State, and then a DMA in violin performance from Florida State.
Since then Kim has performed with professional string quartets, including Quartet Nouveau, and frequently performs with Santa Barbara Symphony, Fresno Philharmonic and Bakersfield Symphony.
Along with teaching violin and viola she also teaches Piano to private piano students at Santa Monica Conservatory.
As of September 2017, Kim also is a dedicated and successful Faculty member at the Santa Monica Conservatory of Music.
